He ruled from the year 1520 till 1566. This period is also known as the golden era of the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman Empire 1566 is an important year because at that point of time the rule of Suleiman the magnificent ended.

Lots of events stated taking place after this year. It is therefore important to understand the situation in as well as before 1566. The name of the Ottoman Regime became very much popular during the reign of Suleiman.

After the death of this emperor in 1566 there were certain disturbances that took place in the Empire. His death was followed by stress as well as strains in the Empire. The year 1566 was a significant year because of the death of this magnificent emperor.

The Suleiman created a great household where he took up personal as well as courtly matters. He appointed lots of people as his 'ghulam' which means slave in English. These people would always be present at his service.

Other than this, he also appointed certain specialists who could take care of the Empire in the best possible way. The people whom he appointed as a slave were not inferior at all. In fact they received much prestige as well as privilege within the state.

The Ottoman Empire went forward to make allies with different communities as well as Empires and countries. The Christians were the most popular allies of this Empire. The 15 and 16th centuries of the Ottoman saw some of the top conquests and expansions.

At this point of time the state almost flourished in every field. It flourished economically which was one of the best things that happened during this regime.

It increased the rate of trade from the other parts of the world. The trade routes were mostly popular between Asia and Europe. Historians of various periods took interest in this Empire.

There were so many interesting facts regarding this Empire which people wanted to learn. But after the year 1566 there was decline of the Empire. Things were not turning so well after the death of the great emperors.
